CHILDRENS GAMES & ACTIVITIES
Location: Children’s Services, 1st floor
Kids and their families are invited to come to the Children’s Services department at the Library for FREE Cherry Blossom Festival fun. Way in the back of the department, past the aquariums, you’ll find the Program Room. In the Program Room, between Noon and 4:00 pm, we will be offering several “make-and-take crafts” celebrating the Cherry Blossom Festival. Among other things, you may take the “Chopstick Challenge”, make a paper Samurai hat, or color a Japanese-themed paddle fan.
The Children’s Services department will also be offering traditional kamishibai storytelling near the Reading Tower at 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, 3:30 and 4:30. Kids of all ages and their families are invited to enjoy this “paper theater” style of storytelling.
