Volunteers Make The Cherry Blossom Festival Possible!

We love our volunteers! Volunteers are what keep the festival going smoothly. We usually need around a hundred eager people to help vendors, staff our games, set up and tear down the various areas of activities, and man our information tables.
The Anime and Cosplay chairmen use volunteers. Our 3 stages need volunteers. Some volunteers serve as runners to provide communication between festival staff. Some volunteers will be needed on Saturday for decorating. Volunteers are needed from 9 am to Noon on Sunday to get ready for the festival and from Noon to 3 pm and 3 pm to 5 pm.. During the festival, work shifts are usually 3 hours in length so that volunteers may also enjoy the festival. Anyone volunteer working on Sunday will be required to attend a short training session on Saturday 1 pm - 2 pm in Meeting Room ABC at the Downtown Library so he/she will know what to do and where.
Volunteers should be at least 14 years old and have parental permission to participate. Older volunteers are very appreciated also. Volunteers get to see a different side of the festival and take home great memories!
Volunteer registration closed at end of day on May 13. No "walk-in"volunteers will be accepted on May 15.
THANK YOU to all who volunteered to make this event possible!
